Slumdog Millionaire.

With all the things happening in my life, I decided to take myself out to the movies and enjoy my own company. Which led me to Santana Row and ended up having a movie date with myself. Although I was about 20 minutes late into the movie plus previews I decided to watch it at that time anyways. I missed a good 10 minutes of the movie, but made up for it after because the girl at the door let me stay for the next showing. At the end of the film, I was very impressed with what Danny Boyle(28 Days Later) conjured together.
The concept was genius and very original. Here's the synopsis:

The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika, the girl he loved and lost...(For more click here)

I, personally enjoyed the film. It brought excitement, pain, and love all in one. It made me wonder, can anyone really love someone that much to have their whole life about that person. I love films that present love as something that can't be stop. Something that one can't control. Love is something that's so natural one forgets about the whole world and that all one thinks or does is because of love. Overall, the actors were great(Freida is so gorgeous!), the story was incredible, the setting was perfect and once again, love conquers all.
