There are so many great mascaras out there, expensive or inexpensive - you just have to find which one works for you best!
Me? I'm not into all of the expensive make-up too much because a lot of time, they all do the same thing. I just need something that looks, good, stays put, & doesn't cause me an allergic reaction... Not that I have that problem, but some of you might. I've used a lot of mascaras in my lifetime & I've most of them to be alright - if they weren't, I wouldn't be using them, duhhh! :) Well anyway, I have just a couple of favorites that I keep with me in my make-up bag. These include:

The Colossal Lash $4.53
The Colossal Lash mascara is an inexpensive mascara made by Maybelline. I love it because it separates my lashes just like I like it, & it really does add volume to them. I like my lashes to look clean & not clumpy - especially when I go to curl them - the consistency is thin, but not too thin - it glides on nicely. If you are looking for something cheap and worth it, I would definitely go with Colossal Lash. There is also a water-resistant version that I am not a fan of because it is a little too water-resistant for me! It takes forever to take off. But, you can pick this up at any local drug store such as Target, CVS, Walgreens, etc...
This mascara is also inexpensive - it has a thicker consistancy but I love it - it gives your lashes more of a dramatic look. You can find this at any Sephora store (if it's in stock!)
Fiber Wig mascara is my all time favorite mascara! This stuff is amazing & I would recommend it to anyone. Fiber Wig has little fiber slivers mixed in it so that when you apply this to your lashes, they latch on making the illusion that your lashes appear not only thicker but longer as well. It's very lights & it looks so natural! You can pick Fiber Wig up at Sephora or any upscale cosmetic store near you.
I've also tried other mascaras such as Lancome & Christian Dior Unlimited. I loved Lancome but I can't say that Christian Dior was my favorite because it runs when it gets wet & makes my lashes clumpy. It also stings my eyes if I happen to get a little in there.

I'm currently using the Colossal and loving it. I do use the waterproof version though, in order to hold the curl ( I have stick straight lashes!)
