I have to say that since 6th grade, I've just adored Miss Natalie Portman! That's right, ever since she was Queen Amidala in Star Wars. Ladies, don't lie, you know you wanted to be her for Halloween and be able wear that red stripe lipstick. Hehehe.
We all know that I'm one of the biggest nerds you'll ever meet, so when I found out she was a fellow nerd, she became my role model. What do I mean? She skipped the premiere of Star Wars so she could study for finals. That's some smart dedication right there.
Well, that paid off because she went straight to Harvard to study psychology (which is love because I'm a psych double-major :] ). I absolutely adore her for setting her priorities straight.
Not to mention, she's GORGEOUS!
While school was on the top of her list, she was still able to do her job as an actress, and put her heart into it (Star Wars Episode II).
For example, we all remember when she shaved her head for V for Vendetta, right? Ahh, I think that takes so much courage for a girl to do, because you really have to be confident to do that in our culture. I know I cried when I was 13 and my aunt just chopped off my hair... but maybe that was traumatizing because of the surprise factor, and she did it completely unevenly?
Well, now on to 2 movies she has coming up: The Black Swan, which is a dark psychological thriller (with ballet! <3), and No Strings Attached, which I perceive to be a romantic comedy (with Ashton Kutcher).
She's also a good person, getting involved with charities and current events/debates.
This female truly knows how to live life, and with that, I'll leave you with one of her quotes to Rolling Stone:
"I don't believe in that. I believe this is it, and I believe it's the best way to live."
