HOW TO: Make Banana Pops

Inspired by "Arrested Development," I decided to try to make some chocolate-covered frozen banana pops!

They were so delicious, and easy to make; here's the recipe!

Ingredients
Bananas
Semisweet chocolate chips or bars (peanut butter chocolate chips can be substituted!)
Chopped nuts, i.e. peanuts. (I usually opt out of this)
[You can also top them with anything else you like; sprinkles, mini M&Ms, coconut shavings, cayenne pepper, etc.]

Ready?

1) Peel the banana, then cut the banana in half WIDTHwise, not lengthwise. Push a popsicle stick (or skewer) 2 inches in to the end of the banana half. Place the banana pops on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet (or a Saran wrap-lined plate), then freeze for at least 2 hours.

2) Fill a saucepan with 2 to 3 inches of water and bring it to a boil, then lower the heat so the water simmers. Then using a glassbowl that is bigger than the saucepan, rest it on top of the saucepan so that the bottom is just above the simmering water.

3) Place the chocolate in the glass bowl, and stir until it is melted. Watch the chocolate so it doesn't burn.

4) Dip the banana pops into the chocolate and roll in the chopped nuts or your topping BEFORE the chocolate sets, then place them back onto the cookie sheet or plate. Freeze until chocolate is set, then store in ziplock bags.
Now ENJOY! =D
